We absolutely LOVE our Brisbane chair pads on our black dining table! We'd previously purchased them in another color for our kitchen nook--they've held up great and spot-clean easily. The gray tweed fabric is a bit towards the cool/silver tone, not warm, but is still neutral to go with anything. There is NO silver sparkle or sheen (thankfully) despite the 'silver' in the name. Our chairs have extremely tapered seats: front: 21", back: 17", depth 18", so we ordered the X-large. Initially they looked small and felt bulky (we expected this based on the nook chairs), but after sitting on them for a few months the pads have squished/spread out enough to cover everywhere except the very front corners (shortage is due only to our overly-tapered chairs). This expansion doesn't compromise the stability of the tweed--and they are super comfy now. The ties are really solid but a bit clunky due to the thickness of the tweed material, but they are still long enough to bow-tie with a single knot. We've opted instead to knot them multiple times to hide (and cat-proof) the excess. They do 'travel' front to back since our seat backs are open at the seat base and the wood finish is a bit glossy, so we'll need to get some slip-proof liners for underneath. Note: this slipping wasn't an issue on our oak nook chairs since their back slats connect at the seat base. Highly recommend!
