Should the cushion cover 100% of the seat? Most customers find that the cushion is comfortable as long as the approximate dimensions of the chair pad are within 1"-2" of the seat size (plus or minus). The mail order
catalogs that carry our products typically show 1"-2" of seat around the cushion in their catalog photos, but you can select a size that covers more of the seat if you prefer the look. Back rest cushions are typically
comfortable as long as the cushion covers the spindles; whether you select a size that will completely cover the spanners is a matter of preference. Cushions may not fit all styles of furniture, and furniture size labels
vary by brand, please measure your furniture before you purchase.
Please don't assume that your seat is "standard" or "extra-large", you might be surprised!
Q: Why do some cushions say size "Standard" but others say "Small"?
A: Cushions made of indoor fabrics are sized according to indoor furniture standards. Cushions made of indoor/outdoor fabrics are sized according to outdoor furniture standards; outdoor furniture is typically larger.

Our items are made by skilled sewers, not mass-produced by machine! If you've grown accustomed to purchasing mass-produced items, you may not be familiar with ordering products that have a "tolerance". In
the textiles industry, "tolerance" is the degree of slight variation which is acceptable in a finished product. Textiles include fashion clothing and home decor made from fabric. Tolerances may include slight differences
from featured size, weight, shape, construction or fabric characteristics. You can
read about how tolerances differ from manufacturer's defects here. We trust that if you're shopping with us, you share our belief that the unique characteristics of hand-crafted goods are part of

It is only possible to give approximate measurements for items made from fabric and fill, because these materials are pliable. Pliable means the item is made of materials that can move to some degree; this shifting,
compressing or expanding can result in slight changes to the size and shape. Following proper care instructions for your fill will allow your item to recover it's proper size and shape. Fill means shredded latex
foam for cushions and travel buddies. Decorative pillows are filled with polyester fiber or feathers & down. With more than 60 years of experience making latex foam filled cushions and textile home decor, you can
trust that our approximate dimensions have allowed thousands of customers to order to their satisfaction! (Well, you don't have to take our word for it, you can read some of our recent
Indoor Dining Chair Pads
This YouTube video shows why our chair pads last years longer than the competition, with how to measure at 0:31.
15"D x 17"W x 2.5"H
Fits many dining side chairs, some swivel bar chairs, some windsor chairs and some desk chairs.
Width is measured at the widest points across the front of the seat.
Depth is measured front to back along the center of the seat.
Height is the thickness of the cushion.
Length of a rocker back can be measured from the top of the spindles to the bottom of the spindles, or from the top of the top spanner to the bottom of the bottom spanner, it is a matter of preference. Be sure to
consider that the seat cushion will be 2.5" thick; the maximum back rest cushion size should not exceed the distance from the top of the topmost spanner to the seat, less 2.5".
Diameter is the equivalent of width for a round cushion.
Width, when given as a dimension, is the width of the window treatment before it is mounted. Some styles, such as the Cafe Valance are expected to scrunch to a narrower width when mounted. Some styles, such as the
Mini M, can bu hung banner style, which is full with, or ruched to a narrower width when mounted.
Header is a ruffle above the rod pocket of a window treatment.
Drop is the distance from the top of the rod pocket to the bottom of the hem. The header, if the window treatment has one, is not part of the measurement for drop.
Continental Rod is a window treatment mounting hardware which can be used to create the look of a cornice, or a contemporary style without a header. Continental rods are often mounted several inches outside the window frame,
but can also be mounted on the frame. A 2.5" continental rod will fit a 3" rod pocket. A 3" continental rod would be very difficult to mount in a 3" rod pocket and may result in damage to the window treatment.
Utility rods are inexpensive window treatment hardware intended to be completely enclosed in and concealed by the rod pocket.
Decorative rods are typically made of metal, metallic synthetics, or finished woods, because some of the rod remains visible after mounting the window treatment. Decorative rods do not wrap around a window case the
way continental and utility rods do, and they feature large decorative finials. This requires the window treatment to be hung banner style, or full width.
