ESTABLISHED 1889
Barnett was founded by a harness-maker whose reputation for quality earned us the contract to provide cotton mule collar pads to the US Army. After WWI, our factory moved from Americus, GA to the bustling city of Macon, GA, where we continued making collar pads, until Uncle Sam called on us to make canvas tents for the US Armed Forces in WWII.
Barbara
In 1981, Barbara left her successful career marketing Rock n Roll albums to help her father expand the family business. She learned every step of production and in 1990, inherited the company and took charge as President.
